Library Services

The Jackson County Law Library serves attorneys, litigants, and others who need to research the law.  The Law Library is open to the general public.  The Law Library's collection is for research only; print materials may not be checked out. The collection includes Oregon and Federal legal research materials in database form.

The Law Library is located in the basement of the Justice Building in Medford, Oregon. Staff are available to help patrons locate and use materials in the library but cannot do legal research for the public nor perform any services that might constitute the unauthorized practice of law.

If you have a question as to how to proceed with any legal matter, you should consult an attorney. Law Library Staff are not able to provide legal advice. For lawyer referral services, you may contact the Oregon State Bar at 1-800-452-7636. If you believe you may be eligible for legal aid services, you may contact Center for NonProfit Legal Services for Jackson County at 541-779-7291 to determine your eligibility.
