Victim Notification of AIC's Release

Jackson County Jail Participates in VINEVINE What is it?

Victim Information & Notification Everyday (VINE). A sophisticated computer system hooked into various databases of correctional facilities, VINE receives updates on Adults in Custody (AIC) status every 15 minutes and passes that information on to the registered victims. Anyone can register and the system is completely confidential.

What will it do?

VINE will tell you if an offender is in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections, Oregon Youth Authority, and now the Jackson County Jail. It will also provide you with other important custody and/or probation and parole information. VINE will even notify you when the offender has been released, transferred, escapes, dies or has any change in parole or probation status.

What do you have to do?

1. Call 1-877-OR-4-VINE (1-877-674-8463) from a touch-tone phone and follow the directions.
2. If the offender is in custody of the agencies listed above, you can leave your phone number to be called when their custody or probation status changes.
3. When VINE asks, make up and enter a four-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) that will be easy for you to remember. VINE will ask for the PIN when it calls you.
4. When VINE calls, listen to the message, and then enter your PIN when asked. Entering the PIN lets VINE know that you got the call and will stop the service from calling you again.
