The Sheriff’s Office performs many vital functions in helping to keep Jackson County citizens safe, but one of the more dangerous and skill-intensive ones is Marine Search and Rescue. Since starting at the Sheriff’s Office in 1998, Deputy Jason Denton has worked in many departments, but the one where he has shined the brightest has been in Marine Search and Rescue, where he has become a highly skilled and state-recognized resource for other members of the team. Now we’re honoring him for his 25 years of dedicated service.
